I am a fan of Mexico and a fan of resort life.  So, it is pretty safe to say I enjoyed creating this list.  It will mostly include all-inclusive resorts since I whole-heartedly believe in getting the most bang for you buck.  I will be bouncing all over the map of Mexico so hopefully you will discover new properties if you have visited Mexico before.

Excellence Playa Mujeres

Excellence is an upscale adults only resort in the Northern Cancun area.  On site there are seven swimming pools, 10 restaurants, and 11 bars.  You also can participate in water sports with the use of snorkeling gear, kayaks and paddle boards.  Since you are not far from the heart of Cancun you may want to check out the city’s bustling nightlife.  If not then feel free to stay on the resort and enjoy their nightly shows.  The rooms and suites start at 800 square feet and include terraces or balconies and jacuzzis.  If you are traveling for a special occasion then consider splurging on their swim-up or private plunge pools.

One of Mexico’s most luxurious all-inclusive resorts, the Le Blanc Spa Resort is adults-only and offers amazing ocean views from many vantage points.  The guest rooms and infinity pools also have a view of the ocean.  The spa includes suites for couples, and there is a golf course that includes unlimited golf with transportation, food and beverages.  Also the resort is located near the famous Chichén Itzá  and other activities swimming with the dolphins and other tours. 

Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita Riviera Maya, Puerto Morelos

This luxury boutique resort includes offers lots in its all-inclusive package, including a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit daily, gourmet dining, a mini-bar that’s refreshed twice each day and even unlimited top-shelf liquors, served in its three elegant bars. You’ll even get private chauffeured airport transfers and a round of golf. The resort has three restaurants and offers a variety of vegetarian cuisine.  There’s a large outdoor pool and the Thalasso therapy center provides seawater treatments. The resort has all oceanfront rooms and each room has at least three flat screen televisions.  Some suites have private plunge pools or two-person marble jacuzzi tubs.

This resort is the winner of the Forbes Most Romantic Resort award.  The El Dorado Seaside Suites is an adults-only resort that lies across from a spectacular stretch of white sandy beach and offers luxury accommodations. Every suite includes a Jacuzzi and a balcony or terrace with chaise lounges, and the majority have magnificent views of the ocean.  Swim-up rooms provide direct access to the lazy river which runs the length of the building. There are a dozen pools in different styles, with a variety of styles, including a saltwater and beachfront pool, Jacuzzis, Balinese beds and swim-up bars. Guests also have access to water sports and can enjoy relaxing at the Náay Spa which introduces Mayan principles into its treatments. Resort perks include outdoor sunrise massage, nine restaurants, and farm to table gourmet foods grown onsite. 

Secrets Aura Cozumel

If you want fun in the sun and relaxation then Secrets Aura Cozumel is the perfect resort choice.  This adult-only resort sits on the southwestern coast of Cozumel, with all suites offering a terrace or balcony, a bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a complimentary minibar. If you want a little extra in your start upgrade to a swim up room and you will get a beautiful view of the ocean.  The resort has six restaurants and of course unlimited beverages at 4 bars and 24-hour room service.  The private is surrounded by a private beach, outdoor Jacuzzis, and three pools.  You also get to visit other sister resorts to Secrets nearby for no extra charge.

5 FREE THINGS TO DO IN THE BAHAMAS

I call the Bahamas the starter kit to the Caribbean.  With more than 700 islands it is a popular land and cruise destination.  

My first land trip and cruise trip traveled to the Bahamas and I still love the excitement of visiting this property over and over again.  

Since the Bahamas is so easy to reach (especially via cruise) I recommend it to first time travelers often and they have not been disappointed.  The Bahamas is affordable, fun and diverse so it makes it ideal for romantic getaways, family vacations and honeymoons.

Below are 5 of my favorite must see attractions for a visit to the Bahamas.  

Versailles Gardens

The Versailles Gardens are located on Paradise Island, Bahamas and overloos the Nassau Harbor.  

This is perfect spot to visit if you are looking for a break from the usual beach visits.  This historically garden is a great place to visit and has an amazing view of the sunset.

Also, the garden is rarely busy so you can take as many photos as you wish of the beautiful scenery.  

The Queen's Staircase

The Queen’s staircase of a major historical landmark in Nassau.

Usually, it is called the 66 Steps by the locals and it once provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau, Bahamas.

There are a lot of beaches in the Bahamas.  They all have varying degrees of interest and beauty.  Paradise Beach is a favorite for many travelers.

This beach is also great for snorkeling but be careful of the strong waves.

If you are traveling to the Bahamas via cruise ship this is the perfect beach to visit.  It is a short 15 minute walk from the cruise ship and it’s free to enter.

During your walk you will get to explore downtown Nassau while you are trekking to the beach.  

It’s not the fanciest beach in Nassau but it is nice.  If you want to splurge some head over to the Bikini Hut and for $35 and you will get a lunch, unlimited shots and tropical drinks, 4 beers and an umbrella beach chair.

Dean's Blue Hole (Long Island)

If you are into adventure with your travel Dean’s Blue Hole is the spot for you.  The Hole itself is 663 feet deep and has gorgeous blue water.

If big holes are not your cup of tea; travel to the beach nearby and let the adventure members of your group have a moment.

Humans have been getting married for centuries and by know, you think it would be easy.  Instead, it seems to get more complicated.  It can take over 100 hours to plan the average wedding.  Yet, most couples only spend around 2 -3 hours planning their honeymoon.  Talk about irony!  Over 100 hours on 1 day and 3 hours on something that lasts 7-14 days.  After spending over 20 years planning weddings and almost 10 years planning honeymoons; I have helped hundreds of couples make their dreams come true.  Yet, the honeymoon often takes the back seat even though it means so much to the couple.  Today I will provide 10 honeymoon tips to help make the most of your 2-3 hours of honeymoon planning.  So, your 7-14 days of honeymoon time will be just as amazing as the day you said your vows.

Before You Leave

  1. Make your honeymoon a part of your wedding planning process. Yes, write it down and make it a part of the process.  This will allow you to stay on top of the planning and not wake up 2 months prior to your wedding knowing the honeymoon has been forgotten.
  2. Be Realistic. That word honeymoon holds a lot of weight.  It conjures images of certain things in your mind.  No reason to think that your honeymoon must be perfect.  Relax, have fun and know that there will be bumps in the road (delayed flights, or the air conditioning goes out in the transfer on the way to the resort).  Take it all in stride and know you’ll laugh about it in 10 years.
  3. Decide what type of honeymoon you want. Honeymoons come in all shapes and sizes.  You can go to the beach, you can backpack around Europe, you can take a Hawaiian cruise.  The options are endless, and the choice is yours.  Just make sure you know what type of honeymoon appeals to you as a couple.

  1. Hire a travel agent. I’m not saying this because I am one.  I am saying it because it takes another task off your already overloaded plate.  A travel agent can handle all the details of your honeymoon from start to finish.  No time spent researching or waiting for answers in Facebook groups.  Cut out all the middlemen and go to the source: a great travel agent.
  2. Don’t forget about home. I know the last few days before a wedding are super busy and sometimes stressful.  Yet, the last thing you want to do after a relaxing and rejuvenating honeymoon is a messy home.  Before you leave have a cleaning service come in or maybe even clean it up yourself.  Personally, I prefer the first option.

While You Are Gone

  1. No honeymoon wars! Remember that movie Bride Wars. Well, sometimes couples get up in Honeymoon Wars.  Do not get caught up in trying to trump someone else’s honeymoon.  Whatever you and your soon to be spouse chooses as your honeymoon plan is fabulous.  No one else matters.
  2. Don’t forget your documents. Nothing ruins a honeymoon faster than a misplaced id or a lost passport.  Before you leave for your honeymoon put all your documents in one location and make sure it is with your luggage.  Also, take photos of all your documents with your phone just in case anything gets lost. 
  3. Take too many photos. You will never get to relive this moment ever again.  So, wear out your camera and your phone.  Make sure to ask some fellow travelers to take some photos of you so you are both in the picture.  I promise no one will turn you down when you share you are on your honeymoon.

  1. Unplug. I know I just said take a lot of photos with your phone.  Yet, also spend time unplugged.  I know it will be hard, but you will thank me later.  Enjoy the time you have alone as a couple with no family, no friends, no distractions. It will be amazing.
  2. Pack light. Try to pack items that are multi-use.  Also, consider pieces that are interchangeable.  I have overpacked more times than I can count only to come home with half of my suitcase unused.  Now I pack light and selectively.

How to Create the Perfect Honeymoon in Jamaica

As a child of the eighties I remember watching television and seeing this beautiful commercial with pristine sand and turquoise waters.  At the end of the commercial a man would say “Come to Jamaica, mon”.  That commercial stuck with me and I made it my business to get to Jamaica.

I guess I wasn’t the only one impacted by that commercial because I have planned more destination weddings, honeymoons and romantic getaways to Jamaica than anywhere else in the Caribbean.  So, today I will show you what all the talk, and sighs and smiles are about concerning Jamaica.  I will also highlight what Jamaica has for honeymooners.  Let’s get started!!

Most Popular Destinations

Montego Bay

Montego Bay or Mo-Bay as the locals call it, is the most well-known location in Jamaica. It is the location of the major international airport and many resorts.  if you are wanting a taste of home while being on your honeymoon this is the perfect place for you.  With wonderful beaches yet, access to a Target.  It’s like having it all if all can be had.  Most of the resorts in Mo-Bay have an upbeat nightlife and endless restaurants.  The city of Mo-Bay likes to party and it shows.  If having an exciting nightlife, a bit of relaxation and a taste of home is on your honeymoon must haves this is the place for you.  Also, being in the dead center of the island it makes trips to other portions of the island easy if you wish to do some exploring.  

Negril

Negril is located on the world famous 7-mile Beach.  This area of Jamaica is known for it’s luxury and relaxation.  If you truly want to feel away from it all then Negril is the choice for you.  7-mile Beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and water sports abound in this part of the island.  If you are a water baby you will love Negril with it’s calming waters and seemingly never ending sand.  This area gets my top vote for a honeymoon since it has a complete relax and recharge vibe.  Not to mention a quick trip into the city gets you access to the local culture and  restaurants.   

Runaway Bay

As far as honeymoon trips to Jamaica are concerned Runaway Bay is the new kid on the block.  Runaway Bay is located on the Northern Shores of Jamaica close to Ocho Rios.   If you are seeking a low-key honeymoon in a off the beaten path location this is the perfect choice.  The landscape here is quite different than other parts of the island and can bring out your curious side.  This is a great place to explore or relax.  If you are a golf enthusiast then look no further because Runaway Bay is where golf courses seem to thrive.  

Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios is located not far from Runaway Bay on the Northern shore of Jamaica.  Ocho Rios has been one of the most popular honeymoon locations for many years.  This city got a jump start when a cruise port was built there and a wide vary of travelers were able to access this part of the island.  Ocho Rios is a lesson in diversity.  It has luxury resort options as well more budget friendly options as well.  The area is also known for its amazing natural architecture.  One of the most famous place is Dunn River Falls.  If you go to Ocho Rios expect to be asked if you climbed the  Falls.  Oh and don’t forget your water shoes.  

Jamaica’s best Resorts

Couples Resorts are only located in Jamaica and are a perfect choice for an adults only all-inclusive experience.  If you would like a perfect mix of activities and relaxation this is the resort for you.  Many say that Couples Resorts created the all-inclusive experience and they set the bar high.  With three resorts across Jamaica there is something available at Couples for every type of honeymooner. My favorite aspect of Couples Resorts is they tend to be smaller in size so you truly feel like you got away from it all.  If you are not a big crowds person and you like a more personalized honeymoon approach check out Couples.

If Couples Resorts created the all-inclusive brand, then Sandals perfected it.  Sandals is mainly based in Jamaica and has several resorts through-out the island.  A Sandals honeymoon is all about luxury and pampering.  If you are considering a Sandals honeymoon then you want to splurge and get the butler level suites.  Even if your budget won’t let you go that high; Sandals properties are still worth it.  If you are looking for a hardcore party atmosphere then Sandals won’t fit the bill.  This resort is perfect for the couple who wants to spend some time together but no so much worried about a lot of structure.  There are activities but they are usually more low key.

Breathless Resorts has recently come to Jamaica with their initial resort in Montego Bay.  The Breathless Resorts are perfect for the couple who wants their honeymoon to be a true celebration.  From parties by the pool in the morning to risque theme parties on the beach at midnight; Breathless is all about fun.  If you want a slight change of pace even for a few hours then you can hop over to one of Breathless’ sister properties and enjoy their food and activities for free.  Now talk about bang for your buck.

Water is the theme of Riviera Maya.  The area has some of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches as well as mysterious cenotes and underground rivers.  Riviera Maya is very close to many Mayan historical and archaeological sites.  It’s the perfect chance to try some authentic Mayan cuisine.  The more luxury resorts reside in this area, so the area has something for everyone.

Puerto Vallarta

 

Puerto Vallarta is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Mexico because it was once a cruise port.  It has some of the most gorgeous landscape in all of Mexico and is located on the west coast.  There are also the historic cobblestone streets of Malecon which is a shopper’s dream.   A lot Mexico itself is very LGBT friendly but Puerto Vallarta is even more so and welcomes couples from all backgrounds.

Cabo as it is lovingly called is a hub for adventure.  Water sports, snorkeling and diving are a few of the popular activities of the area.  Cabo is also a bit of a contradiction since most the area is part desert and part ocean.  Yet, it makes it great for those who want more than a traditional honeymoon.  Make sure to visit El Arco or the Arch which is in the southernmost tip of Cabo.  Also consider a sunset cruise which is popular.

4 Tips to Plan an Amazing Honeymoon

You are halfway through you wedding planning and your checklist is shrinking.  Yay!  Wedding planner-check, Florist-check, Cake-check.  Then it happens. . . someone says, “Where are you going on your honeymoon”?  At that moment you realize you completely forgot about the honeymoon and you don’t know where to start planning another major life event.  It’s okay this doesn’t have to be an overwhelming experience.  Your honeymoon is an important part of the wedding process.  It’s a time to relax, rejuvenate and most importantly celebrate your new life together.  It’s a great opportunity to share and enjoy the romance with your new spouse.  No worries though I am here to help you with some honeymoon planning tips.

1.        What Locations Interest You?

 

There are many places that say they are the “best honeymoon destination”.  The truth of the matter is the best honeymoon destination is whatever destination you chose.  Honeymoon destinations are as varied as the locations on a map.  Are you interested in island hoping on a Mediterranean cruise, relaxing on the beach in the Caribbean on catching a wave in Hawaii? The best honeymoon destination is the one that offers you the activities you want to indulge in during your time there. 

Most couples can have an amazing honeymoon anywhere, but you should still choose your destination wisely.  Before you start researching possible honeymoon locations make sure you and your partner list their honeymoon desires.  This will give you a good starting point and the ability to eliminate locations that do not fit the bill.  Some things to think about are:

  • What activities you want to do?
  • Do you want to travel domestically or internationally?
  • Do you have a passport and if you do not do you have time to apply?
  • Do you want a secluded getaway at a boutique location or a more spacious resort?

Answering these basic questions will help you.

2.        When Should You Start Your Honeymoon?

 

When you should start your honeymoon depends on many factors.  The first thing to think about is how long elaborate your wedding will be.  The last thing you want to do is spend 12+ hours at your wedding and try to board a plane 5 hours after that.  Try to give yourself a little time to rest and recuperate before your travel plans.  Also, you may want to consider the season.  If your wedding takes place during any school holidays you may want to schedule your honeymoon when school resumes season. 

You may also want to consider weather as well.  For example, Las Vegas can be in excess of 100 degrees in June and July.  So, if you choose this as your honeymoon destination you may consider traveling there during September or October when the temperature is a more manageable 75-85 degrees.    

3. How Long Should Your Honeymoon Be?

The length of your honeymoon will depend on three factors: travel guidelines, budget (which I will discuss next) and honestly how long you can take off from your job.  Travel guidelines are the written (and sometimes unwritten) rules on how long you should visit a specific location without raising TSA flags.  If you are traveling to a domestic location this is not an issue as much as when traveling internationally.  If you are visiting some areas, you will want to be there at least seventy-two plus hours in order to not raise any flags.

Don’t forget about that unfortunate return to reality when considering your honeymoon plans.  I know I hate to say it, but work duty will call.  So, when it does you want to be sure you have had at least a day or two to rest before it happens. 

4. How Much Is Your Budget?

 

I always get asked why I bring up budget last.  Well, it’s because it helps to make decisions we sometimes do not want to.  The most important thing is to make sure that your budget is realistic and won’t put you in a mountain of debt.  In general, you should expect to pay at least $2000 for a short honeymoon.  Also, don’t think you can’t postpone your honeymoon in order to save more money to have a bigger budget.  Also, make sure that you and your partner are in agreement for how much you should spend on your honeymoon.

The Truth About Cruising

I am a self proclaimed travel addict.  This also makes me a cruise addict. (not by default just my opinion).  I have also created several cruise addicts. . i.e my mom, my fiance’ and my best friend.  Yet, I find the most myths and lack of information about cruising than any other form of travel.  There are many myths about all-inclusives as well but that is another post.  Let’s get started!

MYTH: There are only a handful of cruise lines.

I hear this statement quite often from people who have taken one or two cruises.  Why does it seem believable because many people base their information on advertisements.  If you only see advertisements for a small number of companies you may assume those are the only ones that exist.  Most advertisements you see are from main line cruise companies such as Royal Caribbean, Carnival or Holland America.  Yet, currently there are 25 major cruise lines. Virgin Cruise Lines (yep, just like the record company) will launch in 2020 making for 26 major cruise lines.  They fall into the following categories:

Mass Market (or Main Line)- These are the cruise lines most associated with cruising and usually the most affordable cruising options. Also, they have the largest ships to accommodate a large numbers of passengers. Main line cruises start at $399+ per person.  Examples are Carnival,Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Norwegian.

Premium– A step up from Mass Market and usually slightly smaller ships.  If you can call 2-3,000 passengers smaller.  Premium cruise lines focus on longer cruises (7+ days) and more exotic locations.  Premium cruises are more of an investment and start around $799 per person.  Examples are Princess, Disney, Celebrity, and MSC Cruises.

Luxury: Luxury cruise lines are just that.  They usually do not have ships with more than 1000 passengers.   They focus on exotic destinations and often have more overnight stays than the previous two categories.  Often times shore excursions and activities are included in the price.  Private butlers, free wifi are usually included.    Also, balconies, suites and penthouses are the norm instead of the exception. Luxury cruises start at around $2400 per person.  Examples are Crystal Cruises, Cunard,and  Azamara. 

Ultra Luxury: Ultra Luxury takes the Luxury catagory and puts it on steroids.  The ships are smaller housing from 100-800 guests.  The locations are off the beaten path with some occasional big ship stops.  Everything is included from drinks to food to shore excursions.  Butlers and personal concierge are the norm as well as spa packages. These cruises often have themes such as wine cruises, or culinary delights.   This is the best cruising has to offer.  Also, if you live far from the port no worries Ultra Luxury cruises include business class plane tickets in the price.  Ultra Luxury cruises start at $8000 per person and can cost as much as $25,000 per person.  Examples are Silverseas and Paul Gaugin cruises.

Now that you know the cruise levels let’s explore other myths. 

Myth: Cruises just go to the Caribbean

Yes, the majority of cruises go to the Caribbean around 50%, but the ocean cruising world is much bigger.  There are many cruises that go to other destinations.  For example their are Hawaiian and Alaskan cruises.  Not to mention all the European cruises (which also includes river cruises, but that’s another post).  More recently cruise lines are entering Central and South America with cruises going through the Panama Canal and to Rio De Janerio.  There is a cruise for everyone even veteran cruisers who want a bit more adventure with their cruise travel. 

Myth: Been there done that!

 

Many people feel that once they go to a specific port then they should never go there again.  Many times the ports where cruise ships dock are not close to the hub of the island.  I have been to several locations where I really didn’t get a feel for the area until my 3rd or 4th visit.  If you are doing a repeat visit to an area definitely contact me and I can give you some ideas to have a better island experience.  There is always something else to see when you don’t live there.  

Myth: All Inclusive Resorts are Better, Right?

 

I will admit that all inclusive resorts are amazing.  Especially, when you want to have time to dig deep and really immerse yourself in a particular destination.  Yet, as far as exploration of several locales in a short period of time cruising wins hands down.  The value of a cruise especially for 5 day plus cruises is exceptionally high.  My suggestion is to cruise to a destination to see if you like it.  If you like it and want to see more then go back and stay at an all-inclusive.

8 Things to Do in the Bahamas

I call the Bahamas the starter kit to the Caribbean.  Why?  Because it is one of the most easily accessible islands in the Caribbean.  The issue starts when people assume that because they stopped there on their first cruise they know it all and saw it all.  Oh, my dear friend you are so wrong!

The Bahamas is a collection of 700 islands.  Yes, 700 not one.  Out of that 700 only 30 are not inhabitable. That leaves 670 islands for you to explore.  The Bahamas is a big place with a lot of activities.  I will explore 8 places in the Bahamas you probably didn’t know about.  Let’s get started!

Eat Fish at Arawak Cay

While there are plenty of fine dining opportunities in all over the islands; one of the best authentic Bahamanian experiences is at Arawak Cay.  The Fish Fry is a short walk from the Western Esplanade of Nassau. If you are on a cruise it’s a quick $4 can ride.  Here you will find a cluster of shacks that whip up some of the best traditional Bahamian fish fry. If you go on a Sunday, you will also get the chance to be entertained by wonderful local bands and some gracious poetry readings on the pavements around the fish fry joints. It is very much worth the trip to be immersed in Bahamanian culture. 

Ride the Leap of Faith Waterslide

Imagine riding an almost vertical water slide through a shark-infested tank!! I will pass but children and adventurous adults love it.  Yes, at the 141-acre Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark, you will get to do just that and more. There are several waterslides on premise, but it is the sheer drop of the “Leap of Faith” that is the most thrilling.  Atlantis offers day passes to their water park for guests who are not staying at the Atlantis resort. 

Snorkel at Andros Great Barrier Reef

 

This is also an amazing place to scuba dive.  Filled with submerged shipwrecks, underwater blue holes and the third largest barrier reef in the world make the waters around Andros Great Barrier Reef some of the best and most scenic for water activities.  The underwater blue holes are home to some of the most colorful trumpetfish, parrotfish and speckled scorpionfish in these seas. Here you will undoubtedly find the most beautiful marine life. 

Ride in a Personal Underwater Sub

Apart from the 700 islands, the Bahamas has about 2,400 cays (coral reefs). These reefs are home to some of the most colorful and spectacular marine life known to man. One of the most unique ways to explore some of these reefs is in a personal underwater Sub, which looks like a moped with a helmet.

After a quick lesson on how to pilot your submarine you will then be released to explore the reefs.  You can even feed the fish, which is a great way to get them to slow down so you can get some amazing photos.   If you want to ride in the personal submarine let me know.  I can help plan it for you. 

Stay at Breezes Bahamas

Many of my clients are all inclusive junkies so I had to throw something in for them.  

If you are looking for wonderful white sand beaches and fabulous water activities not to mention great food; Breezes is an option for you.  This all inclusive resort is along the beautiful Cable Beach. It is a family friendly resort with activities for kids and adults alike. 

With 5 dining options on site there is no shortage of food options.  There is also free flowing snacks and beverages. If you are cruising to Nassau you can also purchase a day pass to visit during your port day.

Walk the Pink Sands on Harbor Island

Everyone has seen pictures of beautiful white sand beaches across the Caribbean, but what about pink beaches?  Pink beaches are a bit more rare and are found in Tahiti and Bermuda.  Yet, you can also find a pink beach at Harbor Island in the Bahamas.  

This is three miles of picture perfect pink sand fading off into aqua blue waters. This phenomenal pink color comes from a micro-organism called foraminifera and minuscule pieces of coral and shells that are washed ashore. You really must see it to believe it!  Don’t miss it. 

 

See the Swimming Pigs

 

Out in the Outer Exuma Islands is Big Major Cay is an island run by pigs.  Yes, pigs.  It is one of the most visited sites throughout the Bahamas.  The pigs swim out to the boats when they approach and even will swim with you in a playful manner.  If nothing else it is interesting to witness. 

Swim in Dean's Blue Hole

Most often if you see a photo of the Bahamas it is of Dean’s Blue Hole.  It is an amazing natural wonder that is a fave of scuba divers. 

What is a Blue Hole? A “Blue Hole” is a sinkhole that is not only filled with water but has a submerged entrance found beneath the surface. While there many blue holes in the world, Dean’s Blue Hole stands out because it is the deepest known to man. At 663 feet (202 meters), Dean’s Blue Hole is just west of Clarence Town on Long Island and on good days, the water is so clear that you can see up to 115 feet. It is an amazing site to behold and if you are brave take a dive.
