I am a fan of Mexico and a fan of resort life. So, it is pretty safe to say I enjoyed creating this list. It will mostly include all-inclusive resorts since I whole-heartedly believe in getting the most bang for you buck. I will be bouncing all over the map of Mexico so hopefully you will discover new properties if you have visited Mexico before.

Excellence is an upscale adults only resort in the Northern Cancun area. On site there are seven swimming pools, 10 restaurants, and 11 bars. You also can participate in water sports with the use of snorkeling gear, kayaks and paddle boards. Since you are not far from the heart of Cancun you may want to check out the city’s bustling nightlife. If not then feel free to stay on the resort and enjoy their nightly shows. The rooms and suites start at 800 square feet and include terraces or balconies and jacuzzis. If you are traveling for a special occasion then consider splurging on their swim-up or private plunge pools.
One of Mexico’s most luxurious all-inclusive resorts, the Le Blanc Spa Resort is adults-only and offers amazing ocean views from many vantage points. The guest rooms and infinity pools also have a view of the ocean. The spa includes suites for couples, and there is a golf course that includes unlimited golf with transportation, food and beverages. Also the resort is located near the famous Chichén Itzá and other activities swimming with the dolphins and other tours.
This luxury boutique resort includes offers lots in its all-inclusive package, including a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit daily, gourmet dining, a mini-bar that’s refreshed twice each day and even unlimited top-shelf liquors, served in its three elegant bars. You’ll even get private chauffeured airport transfers and a round of golf. The resort has three restaurants and offers a variety of vegetarian cuisine. There’s a large outdoor pool and the Thalasso therapy center provides seawater treatments. The resort has all oceanfront rooms and each room has at least three flat screen televisions. Some suites have private plunge pools or two-person marble jacuzzi tubs.
This resort is the winner of the Forbes Most Romantic Resort award. The El Dorado Seaside Suites is an adults-only resort that lies across from a spectacular stretch of white sandy beach and offers luxury accommodations. Every suite includes a Jacuzzi and a balcony or terrace with chaise lounges, and the majority have magnificent views of the ocean. Swim-up rooms provide direct access to the lazy river which runs the length of the building. There are a dozen pools in different styles, with a variety of styles, including a saltwater and beachfront pool, Jacuzzis, Balinese beds and swim-up bars. Guests also have access to water sports and can enjoy relaxing at the Náay Spa which introduces Mayan principles into its treatments. Resort perks include outdoor sunrise massage, nine restaurants, and farm to table gourmet foods grown onsite.
If you want fun in the sun and relaxation then Secrets Aura Cozumel is the perfect resort choice. This adult-only resort sits on the southwestern coast of Cozumel, with all suites offering a terrace or balcony, a bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a complimentary minibar. If you want a little extra in your start upgrade to a swim up room and you will get a beautiful view of the ocean. The resort has six restaurants and of course unlimited beverages at 4 bars and 24-hour room service. The private is surrounded by a private beach, outdoor Jacuzzis, and three pools. You also get to visit other sister resorts to Secrets nearby for no extra charge.
